Etrade. funding question.?

I have successfully signed up with Etrade. despite the fact that their stock trades are higher than scottrade. anyways how do I fund my account? I only have a debit card that is linked to my bank. I have no checks. what to do.

You can either have the bank wire the money to your account at E-Trade or have them give you a check

Broker/Dealers are prohibited from accepting debit/credit cards.

Before you start trading, you need to get your personal finances in order.  Start by opening a checking account.  That's pretty basic.  Why don't you have one now?

go to your bank and ask for a few sample cheques with your account on them, they should be able to do this, without you having to buy some 100-250 cheques. and at no cost to you!
