Etruscans, what happened to them?

Are they somewhere where the WMAs are hiding? Are they hanging out with Elvis? Are they extinct? Could I be openly racist when referring to them with no consequence? Where'd they go?

Absorbed by the Romans. They were a civilized people, and contributed a large amount to the formation of the Roman culture.

I don't know, but get this. In 1977 Elvis got on the 605 bus to Woodgreen and was never heard of again. Now the number 605 says in the new bible, " The Etruscans catchthed the bus, and behold was the king.". WOW, what you think of that.

Actually, with any nation it is a toss up whether we are discussing just a few thousand aristocrats, who could be wiped out, while the peasants are common or garden Latins.  I don't think anyone knows, though you could ask the same question about: Lombards, Gepids, Utrigurs and Khutrigurs, etc, etc.
