Did the Etruscan's art and technology contribute to the Middle Ages? Or were they from a different time?

While the Etruscans were a people group that lived in Italy before the Roman Empire took shape (5th c. B.C), some have suggested art known from that era may have had a revival during the early Renaissance era (toward the end of the middle ages).

Rome was founded by "Greeks" in about 750 BCE, while the Etruscans had arrived in Modern-day Italy from the north, before them!

The "Middle" or "Dark" Ages are usually considered to be from about 400 CE until about 1000 CE...
