Eucalyptus oil for menstruation?

someone once told me to use eucalyptus oil for menstruation.. I am having a really bad period and I am at work. I work at a gym/spa and we have the oil here, but not sure how to use it.. would I just rub it in my lower abs? smell it? what?

    I sympathize!

    Eucalyptus oil is very good against menstrual cramps, but it is only Eucalyptus Campanulata which works. None of the other "Eucalyptus" oils on the market will have that effect.

    There are 7 different Eucalyptus oils on the market and they all have different properties. Some might even make your period worse. Look at the name of the one you have.

    Essential oils should always be referred to by their latin name so we know which one you are talking about.

    If you have the correct one, dilute 20 drops in half an eggcup of almond oil (or ordinary unflavoured cooking oil if that's the only thing you have - don't use chili oil or anything like that) and rub that on your lower abdomen.
