    How could there be more eukaryotes than all the bacteria which are prokaryotes?


  2. I'll agree with ecolink: prokaryotes (bacteria and archaea) are ridiculously abundant in all ecosystems... just think of how many bacteria thrive in any given eukaryote (including humans). They likely outnumber eukaryotes by many orders of magnitude.
