  1. Bacteria are not eukaryotic organisms.

    However, eukaryotic organisms are also found to be capable of 'sucking up' plasmids from the environment, although, they are not as efficient, often and easy like that of bacteria and other prokaryotic organisms.

  4. Bacteria aren't eukaryotic.  So the question on its face isn't right.

    I would be hesitant to rule out the possibility of single-celled eukaryotes being able to pick up plasmids, but I bet they don't.

    Certainly, it wouldn't do a multi-cellular organism much good, because picking up extra DNA in a somatic cell isn't heritable.

  5. Daniel, this appears to be a trick question. Humans are eukaryotes but not bacteria, they are actually prokaryotes.
