I must have missed it somewhere along the way. When did they start spelling Eureka S-O-L-D O-U-T?

  1. Probably when they decided that they needed more money to make the drone in the Season premiere.

Or, it may have been because SciFi decided that they wanted to add 8 episodes on to the third season because of the writer's strike and didn't want to front all of the money, so they made Eureka get a sponser.

It's definitely annoying, but I'd rather have the Degree ads than the show getting canceled.  I just wish some of them weren't so over the top (Like the deodorant in the medicine cabinet).

The drone was 90% CGI.  They wanted to use a model that they built, but they couldn't pull it off.  Every time you see the thing flying was all done by CGI, which was very expensive.  I think they said they were like half a million dollars overbudget on that episode because of all the CGI they had to do.

From what they said on the podcasts, like Thorne, the Degree c**p is only going to last for this 8-episode cycle.  Maybe when they get into the proper 13 episode back half of the season, it won't be there.
