1)What psychological insights does Euripides seem to have (or not have) into his male and female characters in Bacchae and Medea?

  1. I haven't read Medea, but I have read the Bacchae, so here are some guiding questions that might help:

    How does Euripides separate the sexes in the plot of the Bacchae?  Are there any points when they are literally segregated?  How do the men view the women and how do the women view the men?  What happens when the groups actually interact with each other?  How would you describe the mental states of the male groups and the female groups?
