Portugal and Spain took on each other in the semi finals of the Euro 2012, in what was being hailed as the El-Classico of the Euros. With both the teams looking to edge into the finals and looking to go all out to do so, the match was bound to be an interesting
one.
The match kicked off with both the teams having a go at each other, but in the 9th minute, it was Spain who created the first chance of the game.
Iniesta played a pass to Negredo, but his effort went ont o meet Arbeloa instead. The defender went on to side foot the ball goal wards, but his effort flew just over the bar.
Soon after Portugal started to get back into the game and went on to create a brilliant chance for themselves in the 24th minute of the game. Moutinho played a brilliant heel pass to Roanldo and the Portuguese captain went on to volley on the
ball right away. Despite his eagerness to score, his effort went on to sail well over the post and into the fans.

Moutinho found Pereira wide on the right, but the defender went on to lose the ball. Despite the Spanish defending their lines, the ball fell back
to Moutinho, who passed the ball to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ronaldo-c31734. The mercurial forward then took a snap shot at goal and saw his effort inch just wide of the mark.
Despite both the teams best efforts in the opening forty five minutes, neither side managed to find the back of the net and the half ended at nil all.
