While talking to a press conference in Kiev, the 57-year-old said:
"The overwhelming feeling I have today is pride. Pride for Poland and Ukraine, so often decried but who proved they were up to the task by putting on such a great tournament. Platini went on to express his satisfaction for the five-man refereeing system, and insisted that the mechanism will continue in the future.
The UEFA chief stated that while he regrets the high-profile blunder in Ukraine's 1-0 loss to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749, the system has been tested in over 1000 games without an error.
Rule-makers the International FA Board (IFAB) are set to decide on the use of goal-line technology, and the executive reiterated his opposition to the idea.
