Euro 2012 News: Hungary versus San Marino 6-0 Full time Analysis (Part 1)
The match between the two Group E competitors started at the Ferenc Szusza Stadium in Hungary, therefore 'The Magical Magyars' already had the home advantage to capitalize on.
The Ferenc Szusza Stadium has the capacity of holding up to 13,500 fans. Although, it might not be one of the largest stadiums in the world but still it makes up for that deficit by bringing in some wild fans from all over the country that arrive to support
a team that was once considered among the top foot-balling powerhouses.
This stadium in Budapest hosted the San Marino squad as they arrived to participate in the Euro 2012 qualifying match. San Marino certainly needed a change in this match as they have played 2 matches and scored nil points with a goal difference of -11.
Currently, they are at the bottom of the league table with no victories. They played against Netherlands on 3rd September 2010 and Sweden on 7th but in both matches, they suffered humiliating defeats as the Dutch knocked them out with
5-0 while the Swiss made cheese out of them with a 6-0.
After their encounter with Hungary, they will face Moldova on 12th October 2010 and that will be before they face Finland on 17th November 2010.
Hungary, on the other hand, have also played 2 matches but scored only 3 points. They are 4th on the table. In their last match against Moldova on 3rd September 2010, they won a thriller with the score line of 2-1. Their next match
is against Finland on 12th October 2010 which will surely give a better picture of their performance in the tournament.
Both teams entered the match with most of their key players as they had faced little problems in their injury departments as well as the lack of commitment.
Henceforth, this was their line up:
The starting line up for Hungary was- 1 Gabor Kiraly (Goal Keeper), 4 Roland Juhasz (Defender), 2 Krisztian Vermes (Defender), 3 Vilmos Vanczak (Defender), 5 Zsolt Laczko (Defender), 7 Balazs Dzsudzsak (Midfielder), 11 Vladimir Koman (Midfielder), 6 Akos
Elek (Midfielder), 10 Zoltan Gera (Forward),  8 Gergely Rudolf (Forward) and 9 Adam Szalai (Forward). This line up confirmed that the Hungarians were planning a 4–3–3 formation.
The substitution pool for Hungary included- 12 Marton Fulop (Goal Keeper), 17 Gyorgy Gyepes (Defender), 15 Peter Czvitkovics (Midfielder), 16 Krisztian Vadocz (Midfielder), 13 Adam Pinter (Midfielder), 14 Tamas Koltai (Midfielder) and 18 Tamas Priskin (Forward).
