Question:

Euro passport??

Im an Australian citizen born and bred in Melbourne.

But im half Italian like alot of people, My nona is full blood italian and has a duel citezen ship and euro passport, my Dad is Born Aust and has both passports, Mum is Aussie.

Want to travel and not have to worrie about visa's.

  1. You probably won't have to worry about visas anyway.

    I can't really say what the Aussie passport will get you, you have to check with your own govt., but from the US, we can go travel for up to three months (from the date stamped on the passport) for three months.  That means if you go to France, you can stay for up to three months, cross to Italy, then stay there for three months (or, I think, cross back, and start over...I'm not sure how it works).  You probably don't have to worry about it that much, but should definitely check for the REAL rules from the correct department of your government.

    Your heritage may help if you want to move to Italy and become a citizen here, but it isn't relevant to travel within Europe - you're an Australian citizen and the rules for Australia apply to you. You'll need an Australian passport.
