The Grade 2 Palos Verdes Stakes drew a field of 6 horses at Santa Anita race course.
Euroears among 5 others broke magnificently from the gates and rocketed past his rivals to reach the wire before race rival Captain Cherokee.
Under jockey M E Smith, Euroears got well away from his competition and at one point was 2 lengths clear of the lot with 2 furlongs out.
At a distance of six furlongs, the sprinter stuck his neck out and ran well in the final wrong to claim the race by 2 ¼ lengths over Captain Cherokee.

His second race was a good one for his connections as he ripped past 8 other horses to claim the Grade 2 San Luis OBISPO Stakes at Santa Anita on 19 February, 2011, defeating his tormentor in the San Marcos Stakes Bourbon Bay barely by a nose.
Under Jockey J Rosario, Champ Pegasus tracked Bay Bourbon thorough the race, but putting him under pressure in the final furlong to close him down in the end.
The five-year-old bay horse is a bit away from a race, but his connections will be ready after the Del Mar meet.
