Europa League Full Time Report: http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Porto-c39186 vs Braga – Part 2
In the 7th minute http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Hulk-c16436 came awfully close to breaking the dead-lock. The forward went on to beat Silvio and then cut inside the player to create some space for a shot. The Brazilian then unleashed a thumper from a narrow angle, but his effort
just didn’t have enough bend on it and sailed just wide of the far post.
Despite being in the opening ten minutes of the game, both teams were looking to match each other and it felt like there were going to be a number of goals in the game.
In the 9th minute, Hulk was once again in the thick of things as he got down the right flank with ease. He then went on to whip in a cross, however, it was knocked behind for a corner, as no Porto player managed to get a clear connection with
the ball.
Despite nothing coming from the resulting corner, it was looking more and more apparent as to why Porto were being hailed as the clear favourites going into the game.
In the 17th minute, Falcao got into the thick of things and managed to win a free-kick in a very dangerous area for Porto. Hulk took the resulting kick and placed a lofted cross towards Falcao. Falcao managed to be in an off-side position when
the ball was played in, hence the move amounted to nothing in the end.
In the 23rd minute of the game, the first booking of the match took place. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Hugo-Viana-c16425 went into Hulk with a sliding tackle, but his attempted tackle was mistimed and took out more of the player than the ball.
In the 30th minute another Braga player was booked for taking out Hulk. This time around, it was Silvio who went in on the Brazilian with a late lunge from the back. However, the player was awfully lucky to only see a yellow for the vicious challenge,
which could have easily resulted in him being given his marching orders.
