Europa League Full Time Report: http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Porto-c39186 vs Braga – Part 3
Despite breaking into the game and looking the more dominant side, after the half an hour mark, the game became rather quite. Porto kept on attacking and keeping the ball, while Braga would try the occasional break at goal. Unfortunately, neither side actually came close to finding the back of the net.
Guarin tried a little cheeky flick in the 37th minute, but, Paulao provided great defensive cover as he managed to not only win the ball, but he also went on to win a free-kick in the process.
In the 44th minute, Proto reminded everyone just what they were capable of. Hulk flew down the right flank and went on to cut back to beat two defenders. While the Brazilian was doing his trickery down the right flank, the Colombian hit-man, Falcao was zipping down towards the Braga goal. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Artur-c6727 into the back of the net. What made the goal all the more amazing, was the fact that Falcao had his body positioning all wrong when he made contact, meaning that the only way for him to score that goal was because his heading technique was down to perfection.
That goal from Falcao also happened to be his 17th in the completion. This meant that the player had now set a new goal scoring record in European competitions. However, that record looked like it would stretch even further considering there was at least forty five minutes left to play.
Nonetheless, soon after the goal from Falcao, the referee blew his whistle to signal the end of the half. Porto were going into the half time break the happier of the two, having sneaked a goal right in the death of the first half.
