Porto looked like they might have snatched a second goal in the 71st minute of the game. Hulk went down the left hand flank and dinked in a superb cross towards http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Álvaro-Pereira-c5297. However, the Proto player failed to make contact on the ball and as
a result, a glorious opportunity went begging for the Portuguese champions.
It looked like things were going to take a toll for the worse for Porto as Sapunaru went on to make a very rash challenge. The player was already on a yellow so almost everyone was convinced that in the 72nd minute, he would be given his marching
orders. However, the referee seemed to be rather generous and avoided showing the player a second yellow, despite the protests from the Braga players.
In the 73rd minute Porto made their first change of the game as Belluschi was brought on to replace Guarin.
Then in the 79th minute Porto went on to make another change as James Rodriguez came on to replace Varela.
Kaka was shown a yellow card by the match official for dissent in the 80thminute. It was clearly a poor decision on player’s part to get booked for something so childish, since it was just limiting Braga’s options.
In the 85th minute of the game, Belluschi went awfully close to scoring from a long-range effort at goal. The ball swerved all over the place, but eventually sailed wide off the mark. That attempt from Belluschi showed the first signs of intent
from Porto in the second-half.
Helton saw a yellow card in the 89th minute of the match for wasting time. At this point, that card was a tactical move by Porto, as every second went by, they came closer to tasting European glory.
In the last minute of stoppage time Braga won a free-kick in their half. With even the Braga keeper going forward, it was all or nothing for Braga from the kick. Unfortunately for Braga it was the latter as almost immediately after the kick was taken, the
referee blew the whistle to signal the end of the game.
As it stood, Porto were crowned the Champions of the Europa League.
