Europa League Goal Summary: Tottenham Hotspur 1 vs 2 PAOK
Tottenham Hotspur played host to PAOK at the White Hart Lane in a must win Europa League clash, which required the London based club to take all three points from the game, if they were to stand a favourable chance of progressing to the next round of the
tournament.
The match was believed to be a relatively easy one for Tottenham, considering the form the team was displaying in the Premier League, however, PAOK were not going to let their opponents walk all over them, as they seemed determined to take something away
from the game.
The first goal of the game came in just the 6th minute, as the visitors went on to catch Tottenham by surprise early on in the game. Georgiadis was given far too much space near the Tottenham goal and he went on to cut past Corluka before whipping
in a cross towards Dimitrios Sapligidis. The PAOK player was left completely unmarked inside the Tottenham area and he went on to head the ball into the back of the net, without even being challenged for the ball.
In the 13h minute of the game, the visitors went on to strike once again while the iron was hot, as they went two goals up and seemed to be on another level. Georgiadis went on to beat Corluka once again and bent in another telling cross. This time around,

Tottenham were given a lifeline before the end of the first half as Konstantinos Stafylidis went on to handle the ball on the line of his own area. The referee showed the player a red card and went on to award Tottenham with a penalty kick.

Nonetheless, despite the team’s best efforts they just couldn’t score another goal in the game and the match ended with PAOK winning the game by two goals to one.
