  1. croatia- dalmatia definety,at july because  the weather is best at that month, well for a family some waterfalls and natural parks like krka or kornati and beaches in dalmatia (they are all very nice and clean),well restaurants for sea food are good in zadar and island near. You have to dress something comforatable and easy and short, you dont need  to pack anything special ,you  can buy everything you need  there.

i hope your choice is going to be croatia

  2. Okay, I'm sorry to say this, but I just had to laugh a little when I've read this question. This is the very typical view many Americans have about Europe. But I have to tell you: Europe is not just ONE country, that means, it is TOTALLY different wherever you go. You can't just say such things like packing and eating for general! It's not like you just eat hamburgers and donuts anywhere you go, like in the U.S!

But I'd like to answer your questions anyway:

    1. I have no idea where you wanna go to. So I can't tell you what month is best. You wanna go somewhere to the north, like Sweden or Norway, the south like Italy or Spain, the west like England or the Nederlands, the middle like Germany or Switzerland, the east like croatia or greece or anywhere else?? In all this countries, the climate is very different, so I really can't tell you what month is best.

    2. Try to not eat stuff that you get in the U.S. as well. Try to eat specialities that all those countries have. But I don't know how much money you've got, so I can't tell you where you should go to. If you've got enough, eat at a nice restaurant, that's how europeans eat (no fast food).

    3. Where are you going to? If you go to spain, you probably shouldn't forget your bathing suit. If you go to Russia, maybe you should take a hoody with you. It really depends!!

    4. Dress as you'd do in the U.S. Europeans are very open-minded and liberal, so you also can show a lot of skin (if you like). Other than that, just dress normally. Or however you feel confortable.

  3. Buy a good guidebook like Rick Steves, Lonely Planet, Let's Go, Rough Guide or similar - all questions answered.
