With the Italians winning the toss and taking up batting, the side suffered a quick blow in the early deliveries of the day after opening batsman http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Hayden-Peter-Patrizi-c62075 failed to retain his stumps and exited the pitch on a disappointing duck after being bowled out

The start of the innings third quarter brought in more trouble for the Italians after two more players made successive returns in the 12th and 13th overs. By now, the side lost a total of 4 wickets after aggregating 74 runs.
The Danish bowlers did not stop there after the pacers, not sparing the batting side, went on to earn stumps in the following consecutive 5 overs, bringing a complete end to the Italian batting lineup in the early deliveries of the 18th over.
Northcote remained to be the only causal batsman for the side after adding 38 runs for the side. The innings came to a close after the Italians offered an easy chase for Denmark with a minor total of 83 runs.
In response, the Italian bowlers came out with an impressive blow to the Danish top batting order securing three quick successful wickets in the opening quarter of Denmark’s innings.
Openers http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Frederik-Andreas-Klokker-c58029 (3) and Shehzad Ahmed (10), followed by one down batsman and skipper Pedersen (1), were the wickets secured by the Italian bowling attack.

The pair managed to add in a decent contribution of 29 runs to the total but was finally parted in the 12th over of the day.
With Shah’s wicket coming up as the 4th loss for the team, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Denmark-c2884 players managed to post 45 runs on the scoreboard.
However, with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Aftab-Ahmed-c42175 coming in to join Mahmood, the two finally managed to retain their stumps and cruised into covering up the remaining 40 runs chase with the start of the 19th over.
With just 11 balls to spare, the closing moments of the bout marked Denmark’s eventual 6 wickets win on the series, earning them the tournament title.
