European Championship Division One Twenty20 Series Kicks Off today - Cricket News Update
The International Cricket Council’s (ICC) World Cricket League European Championship Division One Twenty20 (T20) Series, featuring 12 regional contestants, kicks off today, Tuesday, July 19, 2011, at Guernsey.
The tournament opener is scheduled to begin today, at 10:00 GMT, as the Austrian side gears up to face team http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Guernsey-c40999.
The participants in the competition include 12 nations, namely, Austria, Gibraltar, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/France-c2899.
As for the fixtures, the tournament will run between July 19 and July 24, 2011. The opening two days of the event are set to hold 12 games apiece, with each team participating in 2 games per day. As for July 22nd, the day will feature 6 matches
while fixtures for July 23rd and 24th are still to be confirmed. All the games will be staged between eight towns, including, St Peter Port, St Clement, Port Soif, St Brelade, St http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Christopher-Alroy-Martin-c50714, St Saviour, Castel, and St Helier.
The competition comes as the 4th Division One Series for the year. Previously, the first Division One contest for the year took place between the East Asia Pacific Region countries. The event kicked off on July 4, 2011, in Papua New Guinea, and

Currently, six Americas region nations are competing in the ongoing Division One T20 series that kicked off recently on July 18th. The tournament featuring http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Argentina-c2841, is

The participants on all these tournaments come as the affiliate and associate members of the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625, which is the official administrator for the Division One series.
