European Club Championships: Mateusz Dubowski topples Mathieu Serebriakoff in Men’s Singles match
Mateusz Dubowski, a talented player from Poland, showed his aggressive skills in the court when he toppled Mathieu Serebriakoff of Luxembourg in Men’s Singles match at the European Club Championships 2012 on Thursday, May 31, in Hungary.
The spirited Mateusz played with an incredible speed in the court and remained successful in dictating the pace of rallies throughout the battle. He overpowered his rival without getting any trouble in the court.
The Polish was fully composed in the court and he spared no chance for Mathieu to take charge of the pace and eventually wrapped up a sensational victory in straight sets by putting up a comprehensive score on the board.
In the meanwhile, Mathieu was quite helpless against the fireworks of his aggressive Polish opponent and lost the battle without taking any game away from Mateusz.
In the first game, Mateusz started his campaign showed urgency in taking an early lead and he managed it in a superb manner while remaining positive and aggressive.
The Polish shuttler was dictating the pace of rallies in the first half and managed a tremendous gap until the mid-game break.
After the interval, Mateusz continued his gutsy run in the game without showing any mercy to his rival. His shot selection was impressive and he managed to win the first game in a fascinating fashion by a 21-13 score on the board.
In the second game, Mathieu showed his brilliance as he played better badminton this time and matched the speed and accuracy of his rival.
Mateusz failed to take an early lead in the second game and remained close on the board until the mid-game break.
After the interval, Mateusz played aggressive game at net and took a reasonable lead. He employed powerful smashes and fast drop shots which helped him to break the flow of his rival.
The in-form Mateusz played planned badminton in the ending points of second set and ended it up with a decent 21-18 margin on the score board.
Mateusz overpowered Mathieu in this interesting Men’s Singles battle in just 25 minutes by a difference of 21-13 and 21-18.
