European Club Championships: Vladimir Ivanov convincingly thrashes Nick Fransman – Badminton news
Russia’s experienced player, Vladimir Ivanov, continued playing tremendous badminton from his club named, Primorye Vladivostok, and outplayed Netherlands Nick Fransman who is playing for BC Amersfoort at the 2013 European Club Championships on Friday, May
31, in France.
The impressive Vladimir, who has been putting up superb show of elite badminton at international stage for the last couple of years, put up strong show in this Men’s Singles battle and easily overwhelmed Nick while consuming just 30 minutes.
Russian shuttler was in complete command as he played tremendous badminton and kept his rival under pressure all the way. He easily overpowered Nick in straight sets with a spectacular 21-8 and 21-15 margin on the scoreboard.
Meanwhile, Dutch shuttler could not show aggression as he failed to place his shots in right areas. He could not take the bird early and eventually bowed down against the in-form Vladimir without taking any game.
The impressive speed and powerful smashes of Vladimir kept him in complete control of the affairs right from the initial points of opening game.
Vladimir proved his worth impressively as he played planned badminton and did not make any unforced errors in starting rallies.
The Russian proceeded with a stunning speed showing no sign of confusion. He did not miss any chance to pounce on net and finish off rallies.
Nick Fransman was in no position to dominate the pace as he failed to get behind the bird. He was taking shots a bit late that enabled his opponent to maintain a good control over the pace.
Vladimir was very calm in his temperament on court and he did not execute any risky shots. He progressed easily on board and ended up the opening game with a comfortable difference of 21-8.
Nick Fransman tried his best to play smart badminton as he increased his speed but failed to get desired results as his opponent was quicker in taking the bird early.
Vladimir was unmatched in his attacking play on court and he did not face any problem in setting up a striking lead until the one-minute break.
The impressive Vladimir continued putting up comfortable show in the ending part of second game and remained successful in securing the game with a superb 21-15 margin on scoreboard.
