European Licence plate in the U.S.?

I have an Audi and id like to get a European licence plate in the front of my car for show. Yes i would still put my "real" US Licence plate on the front as well but my question is ... Has anyone ran into trouble with the law doing that??

I thought about doing that with my S4. If you live in a state that requires a front plate, I would suggest not doing it, but I guess it is better than no front plate like I have. But if not, then it should be fine.

I see a guy who lives in my apartment complex who has a VW Jetta with a European front plate. He has his real license plate   just in the European format. If you wanna do it, you probably won't get hassled for doing it on the front, as long as you have your real license plate written on it. That guys had it on his car for probably 3 years now, and i live in CA where cops are very picky, so i guess its not a big deal!
