European Masters 2010: Miguel Angel Jimenez has stunning 61 puts
Miguel Angel Jimenez is currently enjoying his career’s best time with some brilliant game displays. The forty six year old Spaniard is presently participating in the ongoing golf tournament in Switzerland.
Jimenez played a marvelous 10 under par at 61 and clutched the third spot at the standing table there. This is an exceptional performance for him as it is the lowest under par carded by the veteran golfer during his 27-year European tour career. With this, he now has 64 points in the European Masters Tournament 2010 being held at the Crans-Sur-Sierre Golf Club in Switzerland.
His lead in the tournament has 3 strokes after his 36 holes. Although, this lead is certainly not a bigger one, but still the way he is displaying his matchless perfection and technique; the Spaniard is looking strong to thrash all the other ace rivals. Crans-Sur-Sierre Golf Club is an eye candy for the visitors and this time it is also providing the best of golfing experience one can have.
Miguel Angel shot two eagles and six birdies on the beautiful Alpine course. He is now challenged by the other two Italians, Edoardo Molinari and Matteo Manassero. Edoardo has been able to put himself in the Colin Montgomerie’s European team for the Ryder Cup. At present, he resides at 65 while Manassero is leading the chasers with 67.
After his brilliant performance, a delighted Jimenez told the media that everything went according to his plan while a beautiful day in the mountains made him feel fresh which no doubt helped him concentrate more over his shots. Miguel added that he focused more on the 59 under par and went for it. Luck also seems to be on his side these days. He said that he will try his best to keep up with the present performance.
Meanwhile, Johnnie Walker champion, Edoardo is sailing smoothly in the European Masters Cup. His current splendid form can’t be ignored and he has got all the potential to outclass his rivals. In his recent performance, he enjoyed a second bogey free round which has given him a lot more confidence for the future. The 29-year-old told the media that so far he is confident with the way he has played while he is trying more over perfection of hitting the ball.
He added that he is hitting the ball well and that is the solid proof of his controlled approach towards the game. Mikko Ilonen is also looking strong at the fourth place with 10 under par. He is followed by Graeme Storm, who is at the fifth spot with a slight gap of just one shot.
