European Masters Golf: Italian teenager Matteo Manassero creating marvels at the Crans sur Sierre course
Matteo Manassero has shown that he has got all the capacity and talent to be the best in the golfing world. Currently the 17-year-old golfing sensation is busy creating marvels in the European Masters Event being held at Swiss Alps in Switzerland.
Recently in the event, the 17-year-old took the lead of the tournament by shooting a bogey free round of 64, which is a very solid proof of the golfing sensation’s remarkable playing form. Matteo made 7 relentless birdies and took the lead over his opponents. The Crans sur Sierre golf course of Switzerland seemed very lucky course for this young boy, as he has been successful in making his veteran opponents suffer. It is to be remembered that the 17-year-old Italian has just turned professional in the month of May, and has been successfully impressed the world of professional golfers and fans from all around the world pretty bluntly. So far, the opening round of the ongoing European Masters Event has been sparkling for him, and he is aiming high to grab the best results from the event. After this splendid performance, the 17-year-old Italian sensation expressed his views with the media and said that everything is going according to the plans, and so far he has been able to clutch the best of the event. Manassero added that it was a perfect round for him and the current performance with perfect result has given him an ample amount of confidence for the upcoming tougher challenges. While expressing his feelings about the course and experience, the young Italian golfer told the media that he is probably enjoying the best time of his life, as he is finding the right amount of courage and perfect results regarding his game. Later he said that ups and downs are part of the game but so far, he is giving his full with sheer determination, he will surely get the best results from it. He said that the shot that he played is probably the best one. He told that he considers the 7 under shot better than the 6 under shot, which he played in Geneva.
Other veteran golfers participating in the tournament are Italian Edoardo Molinari sailing smooth and enjoying a pretty good winning streak. He has been recently selected as the wildcard entry for the upcoming Ryder Cup. The winner of this year’s Johnnie Walker classic is on 5 under one shot ahead of Darren Clarke in the event. It is to be remembered that Edoardo Molinari and Darren Clarke will play in the Ryder Cup with Miguel Angel Jimenez to defend the European title in the prestigious Ryder Cup.
While talking about the Johnnie Walker Classic tournament winner Edoardo Molinari, Matteo Manassero expressed his views very excitedly and told the media that the Molinari siblings form a great pair and their participation in the Ryder Cup will be very good for the European team. Manassero added that the Italian brothers are the great source of inspiration to him. He went on to say that Edoardo Molinari is enjoying the best period of his career and after winning a title he has definitely gained some confidence, which will help in the upcoming event. Matteo said the selection of Molinari siblings for the Ryder Cup is very good for golf in Italy, and he is hoping for the greatest.
In the event, Jimenez opened his account in the tournament with impressive techniques as well. He shot the opening round again by 67, which indicated his consistency. Later, he told the media that he is very satisfied with his performance and 67 under par is good for him, and he is pleased with the current result.
