European Mixed Team Championships 2013: Maxime Moreels gives a severe lesson to Vladzislav Kushnir
Belgium’s experienced shuttler Maxime Moreels showed his class on court when he played flawless badminton and gave a severe lesson to Belarus’ Vladzislav Kushnir in Men’s Singles clash at European Mixed Team Championships 2013 on Wednesday, February 13,
in Russia.
Maxime entered into the court in a confident and aggressive manner and he did not show any respect to his challenger at any stage. He easily emerged as the winner of this Men’s Singles clash in just 18 minutes without facing even a meagre resistance.
Belgian shuttler was at his best in the arena as he took bird early from all corners of the court and made his rival work hard for every point.
Maxime remained aggressive on court and he easily ended up this Men’s Singles clash in straight games with a stunning 21-12 and 21-8 score on the board.
On the contrary, Vladzislav could not put up strong resistance as he was lacking the finishing touch in his shots. He remained struggling to find a good flow and eventually went down in straight sets without creating an impact on the crowd.
Maxime played with terrific control in his shots and managed to occupy the driving seat from starting points of the opening game.
The hard-to-learn variations in Maxime’s shots helped him to maintain his supremacy against his challenger on court.
It was Maxime who showed no respect to his spirited rival in the starting half and secured a comfortable lead in the arena.
The battle progressed in the same manner after the one-minute interval as Maxime did not lose his control in the arena.
Maxime did not slow down the pace of rallies at any stage and comfortably bagged the first set with a superb 21-12 margin on the board.
Vladzislav increased his speed to play tricky badminton in the first half of second game but could not construct pressure on his rival.
Maxime entertained the crowd with his tremendous craft that assisted him to maintain pressure on his rival who could not find positive run.
Maxime was calm and positive in the arena in the concluding points of second set and claimed the second game with a staggering difference of 21-8 to seal off a comprehensive victory.
