European Tour plans a performance institute at London Golf Club in South East England
The European Tour along with its subsidiary award-winning architects European Golf Design (EGD) will now be developing a world class European Tour Performance Institute (ETPI) at the scenic London Golf Club at the South East of England which will be the
first of its kind training facility accredited by the European Tour itself.
The plan envisages a state-of-the-art driving range, short-game facility and a professional nine-hole driving range which will benefit the newbie of the sport.
The facility will be open to all and sundry as well as the foreigners who would be interested in enhancing their playing abilities.
The training facility will also incorporate high-tech biomechanics, 3D driving facility and many other cutting edge tools which are often used by the professional players in the world.
London Golf Club’s General Manger Austen Gravestock, said: “We are a very forward-thinking golf club and I firmly believe the new ETPI, academy and nine-hole golf course will elevate our status on the international golfing arena”.
David MacLaren, Director of Property and Venue Development at The European Tour also hailed the decision taken in this regard by the tour and said that the provision of the facilities which are rarely available to the novice golfers will further enhance
the competitiveness in the sport and will increase the standard of the sport.
London Golf Club is one of the renowned courses in the South East of England and has hosted several high-profile events of the likes of The European Open in 2008 and 2009 and Golf LIVE in 2011 and 2012.

European Tour, which had been fighting the economic vows for the last three years is finally coming out of the troubled waters and had already kicked off with an excellent start of the current season.
The tour operates in no fewer than 25 countries in five continents around the world and has some 47 mainstream golf events scheduled on its calendar.
