European Under-19 Championship Division Two 2011: Israel U19 v Spain U19 – 5th Place Play-Off Match Recap

at the King William’s College No. 2 Ground, in Castletown, the One Day International (ODI) came to its closure after Israel U19 forced the Spanish U19 side into falling 180 runs off the chase.

With the procession trailing onwards, the eventual Israeli batsmen managed to pour in some fair numbers to the team’s total, despite losing some occasional wickets.
As the fourth player to mark his exit, Evans’ innings were brought to an end after the player delivered an impressive half ton worth 57 runs to his team.
The innings were finally brought to an end at a safe total of 232 runs after Nir Dokarker (68) came up as the 7th and final loss for Israel U19.
Taking on a modest chase, Spain took off with a troublesome start, following its top order being completely eliminated by the dominating Israeli bowling attack. The damage came at the hands of the team’s opening pacers Shifron Waskar, and Shalom Kristi,
in the opening moments of the match.
The manner continued for the batting side after its following players went on making quick returns on disappointing ducks and single numbers.
In the closing moments of the 29th over, Spain youth were finally put out of their misery with the arrival of their final wicket at a disappointing sum of 52 runs.
The match was finally brought to its closure with Israel earning the 5th position on the European Under-19 (U19) Championship Division Two tournament.
