European Under-19 Championship Division Two-Group B, Denmark U-19 v Israel U-19 – Match Recap
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Israel-c2925 U-19 contended in the 18th fixture of the European Under-19 Championship Division two on August 1, 2011. The match was scheduled to be played at Cronkbourne Sports and Social Club Ground, Tromode (neutral venue).
Israeli captain Raphael Schachat won the toss and elected to bat first. Wicket-keeping batsman Michael Cohen and Josh Evans came out to commence the Israeli batting innings. Israel did not have a good start as lost its first innings at a score of 12 runs.
Cohen was dismissed by Saif Yaqoob at a score of 3 runs off 27 deliveries. The next man in was the Israeli captain Schachat. Evans and the skipper partnered well and together they added 37 runs to the team’s total.
Danish bowler Aqeel Amjad broke this partnership and sent Evans back to the pavilion after scoring 31 runs with the help of 5 boundaries.
The captain stood firm at the crease while wickets kept tumbling at the other end. All the remaining batsmen left at single digit scores while Levi Kamarlekar and Shalom Kristi returned after scoring ducks.
Aqeel Amjad was the leading wicket taker from Danish team and took 3 wickets in 9 overs he bowled. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Hamid-Ali-Mazhar-Shah-c61330 and Peck-Thorsted took 2 wickets each and confined the Israeli team to an easy total.  
Israeli team did not present a good show and managed to score only 100 runs after losing all the wickets in just 38.1 overs. Denmark had to chase an easy target of 101 runs in 50 overs.
Anders Bulow and Kamran Mahmood opened the batting innings for the Danish team and started off well. This opening partnership yielded 32 runs. Evans struck for his team and bowled out Kamran Mahmood.
Mahmood left after adding 20 runs to the team’s score-card and was replaced by Glenn Hedevang. He tried to take as many runs as possible but Bulow got caught out at the hands of Schachat at a delivery by Dokarker. He left the team at a total of 55 runs after
the loss of 2 wickets.
Hamid Shah replaced Bulow but could not make any contribution for his team and got lbw out at duck. The man to dismiss him was Evans.
Danish skipper Peck-Thorsted came out to pace up the target chase but Evans sent him away after contributing just 15 runs to the team’s total. Thorsted got caught out at the hands of wicket-keeper Cohen.
Hedevang and Siddique Raja remained not out and completed the target for Denmark. The Danish team completed the target in just 25.3 overs at the loss of 4 wickets and won the match by 6 wickets.
