Question:

European pop culture- where can I contact it?

I don't live in Europe, but I just love the European pop culture.

Like the techno music, movies, pop songs, etc.

But it's really difficult to contact them in the U.S.

So my bet is finding a good website dedicated for it for the people like me.

I have tried my own, but many of those websites are not in English.

I like any European country's pop culture- Russia, U.K., France, Germany, Nordic countries, and many more.

Can you give me any advices?

  1. If you want to listen to French FM radio live, go to http://www.ouirock.com/ and click on the link (top left) that says "Ecoutez Oui FM en direct". It used to be a great station but has become more commercial since it got bought by Virgin, but they still have a few good programs. They play stuff from Europe and the US so you will hear a lot of rock and pop that is not available in the US.

FG radio has a lot of techno music, their site is in French as well but just click on a media player to listen to it live, it should be pretty self explanatory: http://www.radiofg.com/modules.php?name=...

I am sure people from other European countries can give you similar links. I love this Swedish band called I'm from Barcelona, they're a lot of fun: http://www.imfrombarcelona.com/ (watch their video called "We are from Barcelona").

If you like Europe, you must absolutely watch these two movies (available on Netflix): L'Auberge Espagnole ( = the Spanish Flat) and its sequel Les Poupées Russes (Russian Dolls). It's about a group of international students, the first one takes place in Barcelona and the second one in Paris, London and St-Petersburg. They're both comedies. I also love the Russian Dolls soundtrack, a mix of techno and folk music.
