if i scrapped my universal lnb and got a monoblock instead with 2 on, would i have a kind of 2 wires going into 1 scenario or need two coaxials going down the wall?

also, could i just buy another universal lnb and link the two on a double lnb bracket...

my receiver supports the appropriate diseq and my dish is 80cm east with my current lnb aligned at 19.2 and i'm hoping for the second to point at 13.0 hotbird...

i know that this is possible but need help with the technicalities...

cheers ppl!

  1. Two LNB's, with a disecq switch, and one cable is all you need.     http://www.satcure.co.uk/tech/page9.htm

  2. You  would need separate coax cables going down the wall  for each feed from your LNB/s

You could use a double bracket and 2 single LNBs but you would probably get slightly less signal strength than an a single LNB that is centrally aligned.

If you have some money to spare you could buy a motorized dish and a positioner.

If not, you could mount your dish in a position where you can lean out of a window and move it manually.

Don't forget that some of the European channels may use a different encryption system and you may need to use a different CAM to watch the channels

  3. I depents which satellite sinals you want.I get sinals from hotbird and astra using Twin Monoblock LNB  and using one cable.Eventhough there is two sockets for cables, you dont need two cables. When u fix the dish you can test the signals using this two sockets on the lnb.To align the dish, connect the  cable to one socket on the lnb, should receive signals from one sat. Without changing dish position, remove the cable, connect it to the next socket, should receive the signal from the second sat. Align the dish untill you recive signals from both sockets, two diffrent sats. After that fix the cable to one lnb socket and set the receiver for dual lnb(read the receiver manual).

  4. you will need two leads
