Europe's Ten Most Efficient Footballers – Part 1
Bettor.com presents you a list of ten most efficient footballers in Europe. It is in ascending order and includes only those players who have played for more than three hundred minutes this season.
This list is based on the number of balls netted and assists made at the English Premier League, La Liga, Ligue 1, Serie A as well as Bundesliga. So, here goes:
10. Edinson Cavani:
On number tenth is the Uruguayan Edinson Cavani, who is twenty three years old and currently plays for SSC Napoli. He actually had the Reds and the Lily Whites chasing him during this summer’s transfer window.
But, he chose to remain in Italy and was content with his move from Palermo to Napoli with a transfer fee of sixteen million Euros. Cavani has so far scored five goals this season and Napoli is definitely getting the input from the player they spent so much money on.
Napoli is also Diego Maradona’s former club. Edinson Cavani has even netted three goals in the Europa League and this includes the equalizer that he scored in injury time against Steaua Bucharest.
This Italian is agile, quick and tall. He is a prolific player, gifted with various technical abilities and some amazing shooting skills as well.
9. Wayne Rooney:
On number ninth comes the Red Devils' star player, Wayne Rooney. He is only twenty four years old and in spite of his recent off field bad publicity, he is still proving his worth where it counts.
Rooney is an Englishman and even though, he hasn't even scored a single goal in normal game play this season, he still has gifted his team two assists while also netted a penalty during Red Devil’s three to nil win over Newcastle United.
His efficiency is only expected to improve and he seems to be in best physical and mental form. He keeps the Manchester United and the English national team fans on the edge of their seats as they all love him and expect so much of him.
8. Dimitar Berbatov:
Dimitar Berbatov is a Bulgarian who also plays for the Red Devils. He is twenty four years old and has been absolutely stunning this season. Berbatov is believed to be the central force behind Manchester United's push to the top and he surely has a right to be credited for the team’s current second position in the English Premier League.
Berbatov has an amazing work rate, envious mobility, amazing finishing skills and absolute control over the ball.
At present, he seems to be always playing more or less near the goal box. He has so far scored six goals this season which include a brilliant hat-trick against the Reds. It was the first hat-trick from a single Manchester United player against Liverpool since 1946.
7. Florent Malouda:
Florent Malouda is a French player that plays for the blues and is thirty years old. He did not let this summers' French World Cup catastrophe bring him down and is better than ever. He has maintained his amazing form and has scored six goals so far this season.
The player is a vital part of Chelsea’s first team as he plays on the left wing, is quite creative and has been described as a player that seems to glide past the opposing team’s defence.
He makes some dangerous crosses and sweeps his opponents aside with ease, later making it look like a child’s play. Even though Chelsea has been an amazing team this summer, it is still doubtful that the Blues would be where they are today if Malouda wasn't amongst them.
