Since the whole thing seems totally politically, we (the uk) are sitting at 6 points and one from the last. Should we blame Andy Abraham or Gordon or who for this latest disaster.

  1. I can't believe not even Malta gave us any points!

  2. You don't say!

No, just the Eastern bit... Political warfare...

As for blame, we should blame ourselves for continuing to let ourselves be humiliated...

Let them kiss their own @ss's and pay for their own charade too.........

    Edit: and what lowjoy said...

  3. If they don't like us why the h**l do they all want to live here.

  4. eurovision shudn't be about who like who and politics it should be about the entertainment like when it first started

  5. Well come on.  When was the last time we were out of the bottom 4 on the scoreboard.

It is all down to tactical voting from the other European countries.

They need to find a better way of scoring the songs.

  6. that's because we have next to no friends in europe

since we sided with the US over various worldwide bullying.

we are slowly but surely turning into the 51st/52nd state ( depending on whether we include alaska ).

& reviled in the same way.

can't really blame the singer, writer or even wogan

since news of cliff richards loss with tipped to win, Congratulations back in the

60s, it PROVED Eurovision is a nowt but a political farce.

  7. Waste of time entering. We all know that the rest of Europe don't like us. The feeling is mutual.

  8. I've only ever watched that thing once.  Last year.  And although the UK entry was pretty bad, it was blatantly biased.  It was a joke.  So I'll never watch it again.  And like some others said I'm not sure why the UK even enters.  Why is Russia even in it to begin with, they are not part of the union, they don't want to be part of the union, they don't want there former states to deal with the west, and most of their land lies in Asia, not Europe.

  9. I know, we should really save ourselfs the embarrasment.

  10. UK are ALWAYS at the bottom of the score board in euro vision partly bacause of the rubbish songs we enter and and political voting between the middle europeans.

  11. i dont know what everybodys complaining about, you all forgot the fab 4? john paul george ringo.  never mind name a british band thats come as close as them musically name a world band thats able to even touch the hem of john lennons coat.  You brits crying about some stupid little p**s ant song contest when you had the beatles? c'mon get real.

by the way its Ireland 7, UK 5, let me just repeat that Ireland 7 UK 5.  sorta rolls of the tongue nicely dont it?

  12. Who cares?

Many the world's best known musicians and bands and songwriters come from the UK.  When was the last time you heard of a multi million selling artist from Russia?  Me neither.

And given how much money we've pumped into the Polish economy over the last few years, by providing, jobs, homes, child benefit and tax credits for their citizens, you'd have thought that they might have given us "Douze pointe" at least, lol!

  13. we dont need to be bothered about this stupid little comp, we got some of the worlds greatest singers and song writers, anyone ever heard of a worldwide band from russia, serbia, any of those countries? No, I rest my case.

  14. I wrote this as a question earlier today before the contest started - it's just confirmed my opinion:

Over the past 10 years or so, since the eastern blocks have started entering, it seems to have transformed from a music contest into a political rabble.

As judges appear to base points on their political relationships, it seems pointless to recognise the event as a fair contest.

Even if the scores ARE based on the artists talent, they still show no validation because more than often, some countries share similar tastes in music or have similar languages. Also, some artists who are popular in some countries are unknown to others.

Isn't it time the organisers started to rethink and make some changes by somehow GROUPING the contesting countries?

    Edit:

Just think ! UK, and probably most Nth. European countries will NEVER win again, so why bother going back for more of the same ridicule yext year ??

  15. The voting is all political. It is not Andy's fault. To be fair, we could have an absolute amazing song and we would still get next to nothing. It doesn't matter. The Eurovision SONG contest is based on songs and how good they are supposedly. But its not, it is all political. Countries vote for their neighbours, simple as.

  16. Yes they hate us..And who cares

  17. If the rest of the World do not like us....why the h**l do they all come here. They never seem to like our Singers or Songs, but they all like our money. Of course I forgot they get it for nothing, and they do not have to vote for it.

  18. Not like us ! that can't be true as they are falling over themselves to get here.

  19. It's nothing to do with who likes the UK!

    Everyone "suck-@ssed" Russia - that's all!

    Baltics sticking together!

The voting has always been stupid and this year even more so!

Andy Abraham gave a sterling performance (our best entry in years)

  20. You  could have predicted this before the show even started.

  21. Eurovision is a joke and not a reliable indicator of anything. I haven't heard our song but judging by the others with higher scores it must be poo. The rest of the world seem to like the UK fine when they're flocking here to better themselves or exploit our welfare system.

  22. we actually on 14 now but yes many people don't like UK i don't think we can blame Andy we've been this low in the contest for years! its Gordon's fault for all the disasters and sending the army out!! and as it political all the neighbouring countries vote for each other! so be fair we don't have actually neighbouring countries except wales and Ireland lol

just watch it for a laugh and if we get points its a bonus! lol

  23. Eurovision song has ALWAYS been like this.

It's all political. It will always be like that.

Eastern block countries look up to Russia as their "big slavic brother".

As for anti-UK feelings in Europe... I really don't think so. At least, I've never felt it.

The fact that you have immigration issues started with the fact that you had colonies. We, in Portugal have exactly the same problem. We are literally flooded with people from Angola, Mozambique, cabo verde, timor and guinea.

    It's a natural movement.

People will always try to improve their lives by moving into another country. And the power which once colonized them is extremely attractive.

Then we had (and still do) an invasion from romanians, russians and ukainians...

They fit in alright. They work hard and are, some of them, highly qualified.

The problem doesn't lie with the first generation of migrants. It lies with the second. Parents came here to work and, by God, they worked hard.

Their children are a completely different story...

Brace yourselves, the worst is yet to come...

  24. That fine, lets nuke them. Can anyone one remember the last time we got a decent result, No I can't either, its all funny political neighbour votes, not about the tunes which were all dire. Perhaps we need a group of scantily dressed females singing bridge under troubled waters.
