Euston Square to bounce back in Coloroll Design Handicap at Haydock
Euston Square is going to make things tricky for his rivals in the Coloroll Design Handicap, taking place at Haydock on Wednesday, June 13, 2012. Despite the fact that the 6-year-old has not yet shown anything good this season, a chance can be taken on him
today.
The class 4 event is scheduled to get underway at 16:50 (GMT). The going is good to soft and more than half a dozen quality runners are all set to compete for a cash prize worth £4,075.
Among the confirmed entries are: Kenyan Cat, St Ignatius, Look Left, Euston Square, Good Boy Jackson, Pirate Chest and Steuben.
Euston Square is 4lb lower than when winning at Ripon last year. In the similar conditions, the Alistair Whillans-trained demonstrated a wonderful show to grab the number one position in the Sky Bet Supporting The Yorkshire Racing Summer Festival Handicap.
The 6-year-old is yet to deliver a fine show this season, as he was terrible in his previous two trips. After completing the order of finish at Musselburgh, Oasis Dream’s son improved his work to some extent, but failed to do anything special.
The spectators at Haydock saw him finishing eighth in the Hattons Solicitors Gold Membership Handicap. He is stepping down to this class and with a lot softer ground this time, Euston Square is expected to do some damage.
Euston Square is facing a strong opposition today. Out of his rivals, St Ignatius seems to be the most dangerous candidate. After clinching a comprehensive triumph at Brighton, the 5-year-old crushed his opponents at Haydock in the beginning of this month.
In the Betdaq Haydock Park Apprentice Training Series Handicap (Part of The Racing Excellence Initiative), the dashing runner seized the first place by ¾ a length. However, he cannot be trusted blindly, as the conditions are slightly testing this time. Meanwhile,
going to the higher class will put him under some pressure.
Kenyan Cat is returning to action after a long lay-off. So, she can be a threat to Euston Square. Nonetheless, Alistair Whillans’ charge is in awesome position to bang his rivals today. Good luck to all runners.
