Eva Air or Cathay Pacific

Question

Am taking a flight from manila to san francisco. which airline is better in terms of food, service, etc - overall?? I know eva is much cheaper.. but if service and comfort would be a problem, i will go cathay.. so any suggestion?

Cathay Pacific, better food, better in-flight entertainment, and the new seats where the seat in front of you doesn't recline into your space is a big plus on a flight that long. Also, laying over at the Hong Kong Airport is a lot nicer than Chang Kai Shek Airport in Taipei. Eva is not bad though, but Cathay is one of the best.

EVA is a good airline but Cathay Pacific is in the top 3 in terms of best airlines.  EVA has what is called Economy Deluxe which is really nice as it gives you more legroom, but Cathay Pacific has won awards for its in-flight service.

Even if you flew EVA, you will enjoy the flight.  The flight attendants are polite and the food is not bad.  They also clean the bathrooms.  But just as Gerald J wrote, connecting in Hong Kong is better than connecting in Taiwan.  Hong Kong has a newer and better airport.

Eva air is nowhere if your are comparing it with Cathay Pacific.

Cathay Pacific is way too good in terms of everything from services, hospitality, in flight service, in flight-entertainment etc.

If you are asking for flight comparison only between Eva-air and Cathay pacific i would definitely opt for Cathay Pacific.

But if you are asking for other flights for San Francisco i would opt for Singapore airlines at any time.

So it would be better to come to Singapore form manila and then board Singapore airline flight to San Francisco.
