Ukraine’s impressive shuttler Elena Nozdran surprised everyone by delivering an incredible performance when she hammered Poland’s Eva Piotrowska in a lopsided Women’s Singles encounter at the European Club Championships 2012 in Hungary, on Thursday, May
31.
The Ukrainian lady was on a completely different level as she proved too strong for her Polish opponent and wrapped up a one-sided win in this shortest match of the day that ended up in just 14 minutes.
The in-form Elena displayed her top class skills in front of Hungarian crowd and thrashed Eva in straight games with a surprisingly one-sided score on the board.
On the other hand, Eva failed to even show a meagre resistance to her aggressive Ukrainian rival and bowed down to his easily in straight games without creating an impact.
In the first set, Elena did not consume much time in taking the control of rallies and she started to dictate her opponent in all areas of the court.
The Ukrainian was in fully commanding position in the opening half as she played with impressive speed and kept her polish opponent moving around in all corners.
Elena played with variations and also placed her shots in right areas which helped her to take an impressive lead until the mid-game interval.
After the one-minute break, Eva tried to show her brilliance but failed to create gap in her rival’s court as Elena was quick in taking the bird timely.
The Ukrainian remained in complete control of the game and she managed to win the set with a stunning difference of 21-6.
In the second set, Eva played fast badminton for a few rallies but failed to earn points as her Ukrainian opponent was one class above in the court.
Elena played to her maximum speed and again took a huge lead against her nervous opponent until the mid-game interval.
After the break, Elena continued her incredible performance and easily bagged the second game with a huge 21-5 margin on the score board.
The in-form Elena emerged as the winner in this one-sided Women’s Singles battle with a stunning score of 21-6 and 21-5.
