Eva Risztov and Boglarka Kapas conquer Women’s events - 2011 Hungarian Long Course Nationals
Eva Risztov and Boglarka Kapas won the gold medal in Women’s events on the final day of the 2011 Hungarian Long Course Nationals. The session included the finals of the Women’s 1500m freestyle, 200m freestyle, 200m back-stroke, 4*100m
Medley relay and the 50m freestyle.
Eva Risztov of Debreceni Sportc. SI pocketed the gold medal of the long distance freestyle swim, by producing an undisputed effort of 16 minutes and 19.48 seconds. She was followed by BVSC-Zuglo’s Boglarka Kapas, who touched the wall
for silver medal, by posting a wonderful time of 16 minutes and 27.84 seconds. They were followed by Vivien Kadas of Kobanya Sport Club, who stood on the podium for the bronze medal, by submitting in an effort of 16 minutes and 52.55 seconds.
Moments later, Boglarka of BVSC-Zuglo astonished the crowd with her overshadowing effort of 2 minutes and 01.53 seconds for the gold medal in the 200m freestyle. Eszter Dara of Kobanya emerged on the finishing wall as the silver medallist,
by touching the wall in a time of 1 minute and 02.57 seconds. Dara was only 0.41 seconds faster than her following swimmer, Vivien Kadas, who completed her swim in a superb time of 2 minutes and 02.98 seconds.
The third event of the session was 200m back-stroke, where EuropTec-Zalavíz UK’s Dorina Szekeres proved her eligibility for the golden crown, by submitting a time of 2 minutes and 14.28 seconds. She was almost two seconds faster than
her following swimmer, BHSE’s Eszter Povazsai, who stood on the podium for the silver medal, by posting a time of 2 minutes and 16.00 seconds. They were followed by Kata Bunan of A Jovo SC Veolia, who touched the wall for bronze medal, by posting a time of
2 minutes and 20.61 seconds.
Next was the 4*100m medley relay, where A Jovo SC Veolia conquered the title of the event, by reporting in a tremendous time of 4 minutes and 13.13 seconds. The team was followed by Kobanya Sport Club and BVSC-Zuglo, who touched the
wall for the silver and bronze medals, with timings of 4:18.73 and 4:23.16 minutes, respectively.
The last event of the championship was the 50m freestyle, where ANK Uszoklub Pecs’s Zsuzsanna Jakabos claimed the title of the event, with a remarkable timing of 25.60 seconds. Agnes Mutina and Evelyn Verraszto followed him on the podium
for the second and third spots, by clocking a time of 26.07 and 26.09 seconds, respectively.
The session concluded after the completion of swimming events, while the winners received awards and accolades for their undisputed swims.
