Right- I have summer work to finish and they left homework so moving from GCSE to AS wont be so drastic.

Right now Im trying to figure out this:

EXAMPLES OF HOW THIS WORKS

[27 2/3] = Cube root(3) of 27 then squared(2) (3^2) which equals 9.

if it was [27 -1] It would be 1/27

I Understand This Much.

So what would 27 -2 be?

(Im not using the original question- It would be no good If I didn't learn it) first)

  1. if you mean 27 raised to the power of minus one, then that is 1/27

27 raised to the minus two, written as 27^(-2) = 1/27^2 or

    1/(27x27)
