Both in there primes holyfield could crowd Ali which he had a hard time with and he could also box? Could it have been possible that the Real Deal could beat the so called greatest in his prime?

  1. No, not in any way shape, fashion or form.

Ali would have made Holyfield look silly.

Look at it like this, a prime Foreman would have KILLED the real deal, and Ali made a prime Foreman look like a dope, using his rope-a-dope technique.

The point is, Ali knew his opponents and he figured out how to beat them before the bell rang.

Ali would win by a miserably lopsided UD.

  2. A loose fighter versus a tight fighter.my moneys on the loose fighter. as for holyfield having a Marvin Hagler like chin at heavyweight i have to say he was on q***r street against bert and riddick and his punch was also not that great either. One more thing to add Spinks would have beaten Holyfield at Cruiserweight.Ask that question dickybird.

  3. That is a really good question. I think regardless of who won I think that it would showcase a lot of skill and stamina. I do agree that a prime ali would more than likely win but i can't guarentee that. Holyfield was a h**l of a boxer in his prime and would have caused any fighter problems.

  4. Evander Holyfield was a true warrior in the ring and at his best would have given any fighter who ever lived problems including the great Ali.  Muhammad Ali had the fastest hands and the best footwork of any heavyweight in the great history of boxing.  He had supreme confidence and great reflexes especially in his prime.  Make no mistake about it, Holyfield would be prepared and ready to fight and would crowd Ali who would push him off and score with fast jabs.  Holyfield would fire away at the body and continue to pressure Ali who would move gracefully around the ring trying to keep the fight on the outside as much as possible.  Holyfield is a valiant fighter but his eyes would begin to swell late in the fight.  He would make it to the final bell because his heart would never let him give up.  Ali by unanimous decision.

  5. Evander Holyfield was the real deal, ali was a fake *** mother f***er who cheated ever one, with lose ropes torn glove's phantom punches an people diving for money. and if you were a true boxing fan then you would know this and be angered by the fact that a cheat gets noted as the all time great when there is many boxers before and after Ali who were trully worthy of that title. Ali was trully great at cheating and even when he was found out hes still cheated the world of boxing of the true greats who worked hard and fought hard and did not cheat. so how could boxing fans who excepted cheats even when they know the facts arnt true fans of boxing. and how can they diniy what they know is fact thats stupidand. not even misled as they now the trof and diny them self of it becous ther a ali fan,? im show all ali fans ar not as biga fase has he was shourly not.maybe we'll find out by the number of thumbs down i get

  6. i dont think so

  7. muhammad would make holyfield his *****

  8. Imagine for just a moment if "Smokin" Joe Frazier had the "Dancing legs" and agility to keep up with Ali........ Now make that guy about the same size as Ali and give him Ken Norton's body and Rocky Marciano's chin......What you just envisioned in your head was a prime Evander Holyfield!.......Holyfield was quite simply a hybrid between Frazier and Ali! He had the bone crunching left hook and INSIDE brawling ability of Frazier BUT HE COULD DANCE, BOX AND KEEP UP WITH ALI's LONG RANGE FIGHTING as well! And Holyfield was a much crisper boxer with superior snap and power! Evander Holyfield circa 1990 was the single most "well rounded heavyweight" that ever lived.

Holyfield 1990's reflexes were actually superior to Ali as well. And Evander was a FAR BETTER counterpuncher. In fact Evander was the master. He would catch up to Ali and make him pay for "off timed" feints. Ali would pay the price to the body and would not be able to just "dance away" like he did against Frazier.

Holyfield of 1990 DEFEATS Ali in a Bruising decision!

  9. I could see Ali winning 2 of 3 by decision. Holyfield I think would take one of the first two by a split decision. Ali would use his jab and score plenty of points from the outside. Evander would try to make it a slug fest providing action and entertainment in the center of the ring! Styles make fights and these two would have made for one of the best trillogys of all-times, surpassing the Ali-Frazier wars.

  10. Emphatically NO ! Could anyone name a boxer who crowded well and hit 10 times harder than Holyfield that Ali beat decisively? Exactly. Ali's speed, jab and footwork would be entirely too much for the Cruiserweight champ.

  11. Evander was an awefully good boxer in his prime.  I do think however that Evander (and Tyson) did take steroids and Ali didn't.

I think Sonny Liston would have taken them both apart in his prime (and if Liston didn't throw those fights against Ali - which he did if you watch the tapes).

  12.   To say that Holyfield could beat Ali on both of the best DAY each would have as a fighter is saying Holyfield is THE GREATEST HEAVYWEIGHT of all time and WE ALL KNOW that is not TRUE! MONEY ON ALI!
