Even Obama cheerleaders in the media were impressed. She made her case and she became the star of the Republican party. I think we should give Mccain the credit for this awesome choice. I used to support Hillary, but now i'm definitely voting for Mccain. What do u think?

  1. Palin smoked Obama.

Palin's speech was truly inspirational and removed any doubts I had as to her being the right pick for the next Vice President of the United States of America.

  2. i am so glad this has come up on yahoo uk i have never heard such a lot of rubbish in my life and if this American politics and your naive enough to take any of that BS in then as an American you need help.

  3. i think that if you used to support Clinton and now you support McCain just because he has a woman running mate maybe you should consider why the race or gender of a potential president is more important than what they stand for. she wont be the president. shell be the vice president, which basically means nothing. really, look at the vice president we have now. How important is he? How many decisions has he made? How can you go from supporting Hillary's ideas and beliefs and then switch to Palin? its a different party, and them being of the same s*x should have no bearing on how the public decides to vote.

true it was a great decision by McCain. he has clouded the water so much with this that no one can see through it to remember that this is a presidential election not a womens lib movement. and i can say this. im a woman.

  4. I thought she was incredible!! I am a McCain supporter and always have been but now I am even more excited to vote in the next president and first female VP!!!!  McCain / Palin 2008

  5. My decision not to vote Dem was set in stone already with the Dem lead congress of "do nothings" we have in office now. But Sarah not only spoke for herself but did so for so many of us that are sick and tired of congress sitting on their duffs and not doing their jobs.

    An outstanding speech!!!!

  6. I agree 100%.  Palin & Guliani certainly pointed out things about Obama that I just still cannot believe that their party even nominated him!

  7. I'm excited about sarah Palin, I think she was a great choice.

Obama made a huge mistake not picking hillary.

  8. I wasn't.

The only reason why she was picked was because McCain clearly wanted to get the female vote and get some Clinton leftovers. However, after tonight's speech, you can't compare the two cause they are completely different. They ahve completely different views on issues.

She wants to drill in Alaksa, Clinton doesn't. What Palin FAILED to say was that it will take 8 years to even begin to see the benefits of offshore drilling.

Her speech came off as too sarcastic.

America needs more than "a hockey mom" to be a VP. Running America is a totally different job than running Alaska.

  9. Well one thing no one is bringing up is that she actually contradicted herself saying she didn't vote for a bridge to no where, when she was backing in back in 2006.

  10. That's ironic. Hillary's stances on issues are the exact same as Obama's and the bi-polar opposite of Palin's. I think you are making your decision for the wrong reasons. You should try looking at real issues and make your decisions on that.

  11. I like and respect McCain but she is scary.  What if something happened and she became President?

  12. No real Hillary supporters will support McCain/Palin...that ticket means anti-choice.  More Big Oil and More Bush economy.  All things Hillary opposed.

Sarah Palin will go back to Alaska after the election of Obama and Biden to the White House and she will never be heard from again.

  13. I think you are an absolute moron and you need to go to college. Its one thing to support a different Republican and then vote McCain, but if you supported Hilary and now are on the MCCain Palin ticket, you havent the slightest clue about politics. Forget the rants and raves, look at the issues, and what they stand for.

  14. Palin hit a GRAND SLAM OUT OF THE PARK & just won McCain the presidency!

Now I see why the liberals are running so scared and trying to tell falsehoods - even though they are just trying to attack Palin's kids!

Palin  particularly did a great job in exposing Obama  for the empty-suit fraud he is!

    Peace

  15. LOL! There was nothing in that speech to convince a Hillary supporter to support mcCain.

  16. Just a couple of thoughts:

    1) CNN isn't what it used to be. Can't stand watching it as they are so openly Bush a$$ kissers.

    2) Cheers go to the one that wrote the speech, i doubt any candidate nowadays writes hes speech. So cheers to the speech writer.

    3) A country and it's issues can't be run/resolved on speeches, just look at our beloved Bush.

    4) Speeches are just manipulation. If supporters changed sides based on a speech they shouldn't be allowed to vote as they don't have that bit of personal integrity and own will.

    5) Hillary and then McCain?... no comment on that one

  17. Whether they win or lose, Palin has been elevated to the national stage.  She is no longer an obscure politician.  McCain picked well.

  18. I was so nervous for her tonight, I was nearly crying.  She had a lot riding on her...and she NAILED IT!!  I think Obama and Biden just got their answer.  Now they KNOW who they are dealing with!!

CONGRATULATIONS SARAH PALIN!!  WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU!!

    McCain/Palin 2008

  19. Palin made a great speech, and she deserves a lot of credit.  She delivered it beautifully.  It's about time the Republican party brought in someone like her.  But that still doesn't mean she has earned my vote, let's see what happens in the debates.

  20. I too was a strong Hillary suppporter and still proudly use my Hillary mug.  To my suprise I was very impressed with Palin's speech.  However, I am still uncomfortable voting for a pro-lifer - just as I am uncomfortable voting for Obama.

  21. So she can read a speech written by McCains speechwriter...yah

The woman lied, she seemed like she was "teaching" us with that voice of hers and she didn't say one thing about the country or it's future.

    A star....I don't think so.

  22. I really don't think anybody old enough to vote and sober, thought much of her speech. Sorry, but it was really sort of simple-minded. I was embarrassed for her.

  23. I'm with you. I supported Hillary, but Obama is too left for me.

    I'm voting for McCain/Palin.

  24. I think they are about to tear her up tomorrow. All the reporters you see covering this Ho-down of a convention are the republican ones.

  25. Just because she gave a good speech does not mean she is golden.

Her politics are McCain's politics and the same as Bush politics and that is why we are in the predicament we are in today, going no where fast down hill, sinking economy, high prices, no jobs. We need to change the way things are done in Washington and sadly even with all her poise and ability to give a good speech she's stands for status quo in Washington instead of change.

  26. She will be a VERY STRONG Vice-President!!!

I like how she just EXPOSED NObama for who he really is, and what he has really done in the way of experience.  Which equals ZERO!!!

    NObama/biden are sweating bullets.

  27. d*mnit, i missed it! i was going to watch it but i totally lost track of the time! i have to say though, if she stated her case clearly and well, i wouldn't want to vote for her. Once you get past the fluff about being a woman with a chance for great power and how women are putting millions of little cracks in the political glass ceiling, you realize that her views are as opposite from Hillary Clinton's as night is from day. She is pro-life, pro-off shore oil drilling, pro-wolf and bear shooting, pro-taking polar bears off the endangered species list, anti-global warming, anti-stem cell research, anti-g*y rights, pro-death penalty, pro-creationism in schools, etc. Even if you agree with some of those, Hillary Clinton doesn't. If you were voting for the best woman speech maker, then, by all means, switch your vote. However, if you were voting base on the issues, don't let the propaganda sweep away your values.

  28. I think she gave a good "speech". She said nothing of substance. I am not sure she needed to since she was preaching to the choir.

  29. I can tell you right now that even the left wing media types are drooling over her right now. They love HER, as in female, tough talk and past actions that prove she really is the candidate for CHANGE.

  30. It was the consensus of many observers who saw it.  She spoke calmly but her message was as loud as any politician shouting at the top of jis voice.

  31. Yes. and all these liberal wondered why McCain picked her.

    Now they know why.
