Even after being formatted, my digi cam memory card randomly said memory card error.can the card just get old?

A while ago my camera said "Memory card error" so i ended up reading through my manual and found out i was supposed to format my camera every so often. So since then, i have been. And i had just formatted it last nite, and then today, i took a bunch of pictures and when i went to put them on my computer, they all started saying memory card error. And i'm not sure why that happened..

I was thinking it could be because i was outside and it was pretty warm compared to the house so it could maybe be the temperature change? If thats the case though, that has never happened to me before, so i have no idea whats going on. Can a memory card just get overused?

What brand ? (I've had good luck with SanDisk Ultra ll cards)

Are you trying to download the photos thru the camera?

If so, Spend $10-15 and get a Multi Card Reader.

You plug it into your computer, and put the card in it.

Download directly from there.

I have found them to be FAR more reliable, than the flimsy connections in the cameras, and you don't have to worry about the software that the camera company gives you.
