Even if Obama gets 100% of the 15.4% US Black population, you think he can pull in 36% of white/latino vote?

many blacks hate obama as it is. he sure is not getting 100% of the black vote, thats also counting that ALL 100% of the 15.4% of the US population blacks vote.

No. Most white people aren't the elitist, urban types (or urban type-wannabes) that Obama appeals to. They are farmers, clerical workers, and store owners who prefer to get talked to by McCain than talked at by Ohbummer.

I'm white, and quite a few of my friends are white.  I know I plan to vote for Obama, and based on what my friends tell me it sounds like they plan to vote for Obama too.

I think it is entirely possible for him to pull 50% of the white vote.  I think racism is fortunately relatively low these days.  Unfortunately there are racists on both sides who will vote for a candidate based on their race rather than their policies.
