Even if i dont go on as the person who owns the apartment.....?

will i still be liable, i will only be with her for a lil while probably 6 months tops this is her place. i am not going on as the lease holder i am just going on as some1 that lives there. What type of lawyer handles these questions.I moved with a friend while she was at the end of her lease. She does not want to renew. She wants to move she said i could come and she would put me on the lease will i still be liable even if i am not the lease holder i am only living there

If you are put on the lease, yes you will be liable.  If she doesn't want to renew, try to get a six month lease in your name. In reality, in order to stay, someone will have to take the apartment for a year.  That person will be liable for the rent for the year.
