Even if it takes more than one; Is there a ferry that takes me from US to Dominican Republic ?

  1. All I know that there is a ferry from Puerto Rico to Santo Domingo (capital of the Dominican Republic). So I'm pretty sure there must be one from Florida to Puerto Rico.

  2. If you want to get to the D.R. from the U.S. you need to FLY because there are no ferry boats that make that run... do you have any idea just how many SEA MILES that is?  That is OPEN OCEAN and ferry boats don't operate in open ocean.

    You may be able to take the ferry to Nassau from Port Everglades or Port of Lauderdale but you won't find anything going from Nassau to the DR.

    The Ferry boat from San Juan to Santo Domingo goes to a couple of other islands, but it doesn't go to the U.S.

    If you REALLY want to go.. then FLY.
