  1. Yes. It was a good game and I give them the credit. They could have given up, but they kept coming back and fighting. It may be a dissapointing loss, but it was great the Rangers kept fighting back.

  2. Yes, it stinks that a team has to lose a game after scoring that many runs.

Edit: bdough15,  In his first 367 games playing first base Youkilis has made only 9 errors!

Keith Hernandez made 26 errors in his first 333 games playing first base!

Big difference, look it up!  That IS putting Hernandez to shame.  He also is a better hitter than Hernandez was his first 4 years!

BTW, he only made 1 error playing first base last night, he was playing third base when he made his second!

  3. Aww. :)

Your not being a suck up are you? lol. Just kidding. :] Of course I give them credit. What other team would give up 10 runs then come back?

    Thanks. =]

  4. I give their batters credit for not giving up.  I will continue to criticize their front office for continually not investing in pitching and thinking they can beat everybody in a 14 - 12 slug fest every night.

For 35 years I have followed this team.  Other than Nolan Ryan, Mitch Williams and Ferguson Jenkins they haven't ever had any pitching that was ever worth a hoot.

  5. Yes! the Texas Rangers are a great team! Angels go against em quite often and they're always tough to beat What a show both teams gave yesterday :)

I think that Texas is going to be a threat to the AL West in a couple of years.

  6. How can anyone NOT give them credit?

How many others would've fought back after being down 10-0 after the 1st? I've never really had an opinion on the Rangers, but between this & Hamilton's story, this team is winning my respect, because they don't seem to ever give up.

  7. That's a real baseball team. They played and hit like they were 0-0. It was an incredible game, just wished they would'be beaten Papelbon at the end, but what can you do.

  8. Rangers have done it all season with their top rated offense. This game just goes to show/prove it, that they wont ever allow themselves to be counted out. Regrettably, unfortunately, it remains the same issue for years and years. They lack qulaity SP and with this huge offense, is a shame they have to suffer this way and should have, could have, been a contender.

  9. Yes-- if my yankees had half their heart we would be running away with the AL east.

  10. You have no idea how proud I was...

After we erased the deficit, the BoSox and their fans didn't know what hit them! (Meet the irrepressible, determined, explosive Rangers!)

After that first inning I was pretty much ready to switch the channel to NBC and watch the Olympics...  I'm glad I didn't!

When Ian hit the 3 run shot over the Green Monster, I knew we could and would get back in this thing!

It was really a shame that Francisco blew the lead...  I really think Eddie should have been out there.

I knew Francisco didn't have his best stuff pretty much right away.

But I agree with you; I give all the credit in the world to them for never giving up and always fighting back.

I love watching the Rangers, and you know what? With any other team, I would say being five runs down is a deficit nearly impossible to overcome.  With the Rangers, five runs is nothing.  Heck, we came back in a game where we were down 10-0 after only the first inning!

Well, the Red Sox earned the win fair and square (*sigh*), but the Rangers can come back and win tonight!

    =D

  11. It was a heck of a game & being down 10-0 & coming back & making it a great game & I give them credit for not giving up.

  12. Yes because they were losing 10 to 0 in the  second inning and they got 13 runs then Boston got 1 run and the final score was 13-14 Boston. I don't have respect for Texas Rangers but i give them credit for a hard fought battle.

  13. I am a die hard Ranger fan. I give them some credit, but only the Rangers could s***w that up. Fransisco should feel about 6 inches tall. Washington left him out there too lang, he was hit hard everytime, Eddie should have been in, that was a make or break game for the Wild Card race, and it had the potential to be a huge stepping stone, but once again, our pitching staff killed not only the game, but I believe they killed our season. I would have rather seen them get beat down than have some back and blow the lead like they did.

  14. I definitely give them credit, being down 10-0, it would have been easy to just call it a night, but they persevered, and made it one of the most entertaining games of the year!!! That team just needs to work on their pitching, and they will be a major threat in the next couple of years!

  15. My God of course you have to give them credit, they don't roll over and die and giving up 10 in the first inning. Great job to Rangers.

  16. They personified Jimmy V's speech!!!  Don't give up, Don't ever give up!

I can not believe that....I thought it was a football score at first...then I saw the box score and figured that it must have been a mistake because it said that Youk committied 2 more errors...how can that be, on here everyday I am reading how he is the greatest 1B to ever touch the planet and put Keith Hernandez to shame defensively and yet he has the errors like that...must have been a mistake because people on here would not be wrong about greatness!
