Even though there are 14 languages in India, can EVERYBODY speak at least hindi?

Even though the National Language is Hindi for Indian but many of then don,t know Hindi.

According to the stats About 40-50% of Indian speak Hindi

8% speak Telugu

8% speak Tamil

8% speak Bengali and the list goes on

Actually many more people speak a different accent of Hindi i.e Bhojpuri which is considered as a different language but it is not a completely different, as the script is the same only the way it spoken is a bit different.

The direct answer to your question is No, Hindi is well spoken in the North but when it comes to south it is not that well spoken as their regional language.
