Evening out with children in essex?

we ve got an 11 yr old child and are in essex (england) at the moment... anyone has an idea about where we could go to have some fun?

Yes, Southend for the evening, an evening Fairground is close to the Pier, sometimes there are Fireworks released too!.......Southend Council's website will have some more details on that......Parking may be tricky, so be prepared to walk!

take them out on a rowing boat. its fun for all the family! there is one in wanstead opporsite whips cross hospital.
