I've had Dish DVR for years, just switched to Direct DVR. I called my mom who's had Direct DVR for an assist. I wanted to ask about the "change channel" message. She asked me if I read the book. (I worked in computer installation/support for years. My mother never RTFM, she called me!)

"Yeah Mom. I read it, programmed it for two shows and it asks me about changing channels. If I ignore it, will it record?"

She yawns, says it will record if ignored, then she says, "Two shows!?! How are you recording two shows?!"

I say, " It records two programmed shows and asks to change channels to program simultaneously. That's what I'm asking. What happens if I don't respond?"

She's pissed and tells me that my equipment is better and I already know how to use it better. Then she asks how many DVR's I have. She swears the useless guy who installed her system, gave her old boxes, she can't record 2 things and she wants to know why I need 4 DVR's.

Wish I'd never asked. Now, she hates me, again.
