  1. Yep, a standardbred who won at 70-1 at Cal Expo, and that was with an exacta bet.

  2. yes acouple times as it had the best driver on the horse,,i always look at the driver as a good driver usually can make a bad horse run good

  3. Once.  Paid 189.00, I believe.

  4. I'm a believer in beginner's luck.

I was showing hubby what to look for in the post parade, last summer. We didn't pay any attention to the odds. He saw a horse he liked that seemed to be "cycling" on its back legs- by that I mean taking an extra step - even though it was walking, the back looked like it was almost trotting.

The horse went off at 90 to 1 - and won going away...!

    Whew!!!!

I did about the same when My father would take me to the track -  I was ten. Guess I was "Daddy's little oracle", LOL.

Take someone who knows nothing about odds or horse racing when you go next time!  :)

  5. You've got the gamblers "high".

    Here's a percodan.

  6. Yes many times, personal record is a horse at Garden State Park many years ago paid like 213.00 to win had 3 horses boxed in the exacta and couldn't hit it.

  7. I bet a horse named midwest hummer at laurel park back in the early 90s that paid $232 to win. right before x-mas so that was a nice score.
