  1. YOUR A *****!!! You DONT KILL Wild ANIMALS!!!! are you crazy or mentaly INSANE?!?!?! they need fish to live to DUH!!!! You Could go to JAIl or get a big fat TICKET for doing THAT YOU DUMMY!

  2. is it your pond

    ?

    i ahvnt been bit

but my friends mom was doin a kissy near its face for some odd reason

then it bit a chunk of her lip off lol

    its her fault lol

  3. its an good thing you had on steel toe boots i dont blame you i would get rid of it to but i would eat it they are realy good if you know how to fix them

  4. The only way you almost got bit was because you were messing with it. Harrassing and killing wildlife that's not a threat to you is illegal.

Even if the pond is on your property, you're still violating the law by killing every turtle you catch out of there. Wild animals on a person's property are not that person's property and are still protected by law. If a bald eagle landed on your property, does that make it okay to kill it? Of course not. How about just relocating them? As Charlie D said, they're not as much of a threat to your fish as you think. And by the way, trying to remove a fish hook from its mouth IS messing with it. Next time just cut the line. Fish hooks are cheap.

  5. I've been bitten a couple of times by snappers, once while I was cleaning the meat off its skull, once when I wasn't watching where my fingers were. Stupidity on my part both times.

Generally, snappers improve the fishing in a pond. Just be careful when you catch them.

  6. I wouldn't kill em, I would just keep my body parts out of they re mouth.

  7. Sparky- if it was a common snapping turtle, it can't bite through your boot. Not even close.

Although snapping turtles do eat fish, they primarily eat dead and dying fish. The turtles aren't the reason you're not catching enough fish.

In most states, turtles are legally protected from pointless killing, yet many people continue to kill them out of fear and ignorance. As you know.
